Everything you need to know about ROAR.dog
Our food follows the 80-10-10 raw feeding model, designed to mirror a dog’s natural prey diet- 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% organs. This structure provides high-quality protein, essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals that support strong muscles, healthy bones and overall wellbeing.
Our meals are produced using meat sourced from DEFRA-approved suppliers, with no unnecessary fillers or ultra-processed ingredients. We believe dogs thrive on simple, natural food.
Taking it back to nature for healthier and happier dogs.
Adult dogs typically eat around 2–3% of their body weight per day, depending on their age, activity level and metabolism.
For example, a 10kg dog may eat roughly 200–300g of raw food daily. This is a guide, so it's always best to monitor your dog's body condition and adjust accordingly.
Most dogs eat one or two meals per day, depending on your routine.
You can also use our Dog Food Calculator to estimate the right portion size for your dog.
Most dogs can switch straight to raw food immediately.
Many owners choose to make the switch “cold turkey” by feeding their dog’s normal meal in the evening and starting raw the next morning.
If you prefer, you can also transition gradually over 3–5 days by mixing raw with your dog’s current food. Both approaches work- choose what suits your dog best.
Our raw food should be kept frozen until ready to use.
To defrost, place the sealed pack in the fridge for up to 24 hours or leave it somewhere cool overnight. Once defrosted, store the food in a sealed container in the fridge and use within 2–3 days.
Never defrost raw food in the microwave, as this can begin cooking the meat and bones.
Always wash your hands after handling raw pet food.
If you're new to raw feeding, the best place to start is our Raw Feeding Guide, which explains how natural diets work and how to transition your dog safely.

Raw bones provide important minerals such as calcium and phosphorus, as well as natural dental benefits.
However, if you prefer not to feed whole bones, many raw meals include finely ground bone, which provides the same nutrients.
Never feed cooked bones, as cooking makes bones brittle and dangerous for dogs.
No- a properly balanced raw diet can provide everything your dog needs. Our meals follow the prey model of raw feeding (80% meat, 10% bone, 10% organs), which forms a complete and nutritious base diet for most dogs.
Some owners like to add small extras such as raw eggs, oily fish or fruit and vegetables for variety. If feeding vegetables or fruit, they should be crushed or blended so your dog can digest them properly.
Dog-safe options include things like carrots, broccoli, spinach, blackberries and cranberries.
However, some foods should never be fed to dogs, including onions, grapes, raisins, walnuts, avocados and chocolate, as these can be toxic.
As with any additions to your dog’s diet, moderation is key.
Our approach is simple- real food, minimal processing, and taking it back to nature for healthier, happier dogs.
